Old Terragen Renders

This first render is actually my most recent render, done back in 2018. I was going for a hazy forest fire look to the smoke.

The cloud island render is one that I was testing the capability of terragen to handle large prop count. I made this way back in 2009! The green that looks like grass, is actually millions of trees! The render came out ok so I kept it.

The iceberg is by far one of my favorite renders I have done. It's so simple but works out well! I like to think that the iceberg is slowly tilting as it melts giving those hard striations.

This cloudy render is actually a skybox that I made for a community map for counter strike. It set a dark mood for the map and it was easy to light accurately from this render.

This last render is another skybox I made. It was to test how close to the ground I could make the camera to see if it looks like you are standing on the surface… It totally does not, but it's still a cool lunar surface!

This is a post to showcase some of my old work from years ago. Some of the renders are up to 10 years old now! Gosh, have I learned so much since these. They are all rendered in Terragen (my first 3d art tool) and it is crazy to see things I've done before knowing anything about texting or prop making! I haven't had a chance to open terragen in a long while but I would love to try and make something new with all my experience in substance and 3ds!
