[WIP] the randomizer allows for random trim scale. I'm still not happy with the function of this part of the node as it tends to favor the upper half of the usable area. I plan on revisiting this in the future, so this is more a proof of concept.

I don't know why I decided to display my detail materials like this, but it gave me an opportunity to display a few of the trims in action.

I am currently working on an HDRI pack and this render includes one of them. There is no lighting in this render beyond that projected from the HDRI.

I Started this project to be able to quickly generate layouts for personal project trim sheets. Its purpose is to focus less on the technical side of trims, and to encourage faster and more loose trim workflow. The idea was that if there was no prior planning for a trim sheet, then having a generated canvas space would inspire new ideas to fill in the space. This workflow does not take into account texel density and focuses more on a free artistic process, so this may not be appropriate for use in an efficient game development workflow.

Having a fast way to now generate a layout, I decided to showcase this tool with a quick trim sheet material from a substance designer. A few of these trims are created with the intention of using them in my next environment, so the timing was perfect to make this. I even used a large trim section as a workspace for a few detail decals.

I am currently working on a Gumroad profile to distribute some of my tools, and I plan to include this tool in that marketplace (for free) in the future! I will update this post when that is ready.
